Married couple Shih-Yen Tang, an anchor, and Ko-Ching Lin, a fashion company general manager, are filing for divorce. Shih-Yen is upset about Ko-Ching prioritizing career over family, and even getting an abortion without his knowledge. To express discontent, Shih-Yen not only moves in with his mistress but shows up at Ko-Ching's office threatening her to give him money. Despite feeling overwhelmed by her troubled marriage, Ko-Ching manages to focus on work and delivers a successful fashion show.
Cheng-Tung, the Tang family's gardener, is unhappy with the way Shih-Yen treats Ko-Ching. He even slowly grows fond of Ko-Ching. Meanwhile, Kuei-Chih, a florist's daughter, often hangs out with Cheng-Tung. But underneath her happy-go-lucky
appearance, she cares greatly about how Cheng-Tung thinks of her. After Kuei-Chih
and Cheng-Tung become involved in Shih-Yen and Ko-Ching's marriage commotion, they begin to reflect on the gender role stereotypes in a marriage.
